Purpose:

Join a dynamic team of skilled network engineers at a leading IT provider for the air transport industry. As an L3/Expert/SME-level position, you will play a key role in developing, deploying, and maintaining service configurations for a SITA-managed Versa Networks solution. You will configure and troubleshoot network and security solutions, including SD-WAN/SASE technologies, to resolve complex technical challenges while collaborating with internal teams. The role requires a willingness to learn new technologies and work in a challenging networking and security environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Plan, deploy, and deliver network-related projects, focusing on SDWAN/SASE solution design, implementation, and support.
  • Support Project Managers and Customer Success Specialists with delivery coordination and migration planning.
  • Manage and configure network infrastructure daily, including SDWAN/SASE, firewalls, and wired/wireless LANs.
  • Optimize SDWAN/SASE managed services to ensure robust configurations.
  • Maintain operational integrity of security and data networks, responding to incidents and occasionally providing out-of-hours support.
  • Participate in customer meetings, offering performance reports and project updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve L2/L3 high-priority incidents, ensuring SLA compliance. • Address customer technical and service-related inquiries.
  • Share knowledge and provide training to internal and customer teams. Who You Are

Experience

5-8 years in Information Technology/Telecom, with a strong focus on networking.

  • Proven ability to develop, document, and communicate technical solutions for customers.
  • Expertise in Enterprise LAN (wired/wireless) and WAN (MPLS & SDWAN) environments with complex routing and switching.
  • Hands-on experience with BGP and OSPF protocols; EIGRP and QoS knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SDWAN and SASE technologies, preferably Versa Networks. Experience with Cisco SDWAN or Palo Alto is also valuable.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting Cisco/Juniper routers and switches, including hands-on work with firewalls such as Cisco ASA or Palo Alto.
  • Working knowledge of data center switching (e.g., Cisco Nexus, ACI), virtualization, or WAN optimization is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with cloud and multi-cloud solutions (e.g., Aviatrix, Alkira) or SSE solutions (e.g., Zscaler).
  • Understanding of network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, JSON, APIs) is a bonus.
  • Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Technologies, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices, change management, and project management.
  • Excellent English proficiency.

 

Preferred Certifications:

  • CCNA/CCNP, JNCIS/JNCIP, or equivalent certifications.
  • At least one associate-level security certification.
  • Versa Networks Associate-level SDWAN certification (Specialist or Professional level is a plus).
